Barb Brooks

 

                     

 Barb is a watercolour artist living in Jasper National Park. She painted for over 20 years and felt that the effect of such an expanse of untampered nature was the motivating force behind her work.

Barb was also the first 'teacher' and friend to many artists when they arrived in Jasper and found themselves drawn to paint.

In the late 90's Barb suffered an aneurysm that left her painting arm inert.  While undergoing rehabilitation many of her works have been created in giclee (print) form.

Proceeds from this heritage print support the JNP Centennial Legacy Fund, and are available at the Friends of the Park Store on Connaught Drive in Jasper.

These prints have

 been created to support TUKTU PRAYERS - a traveling art exhibition for 2007 - honouring the Woodland Caribou in Jasper National Park in hopes that there will continue to be caribou in the Park for the next 100 years.
